Conservative Public Safety Commissioner Arrested For Threatening Public Safety With One Of His Guns #204
Ex-Torrington official charged with threats at work
TORRINGTON — Former Board of Public Safety Commissioner Robert Zordan was arrested Tuesday on charges that he threatened to shoot co-workers at a Farmington-based manufacturer on Dec. 27 after he became enraged during a company meeting, police said.
Farmington Police later questioned Zordan at his home on Dawes Avenue, where Zordan surrendered 16 guns, including a semi-automatic, military-style rifle that police said was illegally modified. Zordan posted $250,000 bond and was released.
Police said Zordan had threatened to use his .40 caliber handgun to shoot his co-workers and that the semi-automatic rifle was not mentioned in the alleged threat.
